    ~Opening Theme On~

Post by datalol-jack on Tue Dec 16, 2008 6:03 am

This is a crackpot idea to kick start this very much dead sub-forum, which I think should be called something more general than 'Bands', and indeed should not strictly lie in J-Pop realm. List an opening theme on your mind at the moment, or whatever opening is playing as you type your reply, repeat until bored. I will make a proper forum game out of this at some point, but for now let's just have a laugh. Oh, and that is one theme per post!

    O.T.O! cheers

I am not a great fan of J-pop of which you are no doubt aware.
Having said that, this forum is a bit sparse.
Anime: Ghost in the Shell, Stand Alone Complex
    Track: Inner universe (opening theme)
By: Yoko Kanno (with Origa, Shanti Snyder doing the words)

    Anime: Neon Genesis Evangelion
    Track: A Cruel Angel's Thesis
    Artist: Yoko Takahashi

I am deeply saddened by the lack of NGE in the next session. Crying or Very sad

(uh... please note that this is not the kind of stuff I would actually listen to in my free time Neutral )

I actually like the closing music from Ergo Proxy and Melancholy, for some reason...
I think it's because radioheads 'paranoid android' is very fitting for Ergo Proxy, which sucks now that it's been booted out after getting interesting.
actually, I think it's just the absurd choreography in Melancholy that I like, kinda like Caramel Dansen meets Lucky Star...
Going to shut my otaku hole now.

Actually... for some really, weird reason, I actually like the persona soundtracks... why? I have no freaking idea :/

Hehe, yeah I suggested it ages ago too, thanks for voting every week though, we finally get to watch it Smile

    Anime: Kara no kyokai
    Track: Oblivious
    Artist: Kalafina

Hmm... what can I say? im a fan of type-moon. Though I have to say they screwed up a little with the tsukihime anime, the visual novel was much better, although the flying shark wasn't fun. (I already know you dont get it...)

Hehehe, I remember this was on tv for a short time... for whatever reason they cancelled the slot on propeller along with anime central channel. Whew... no anime on sky any more, fun.

I was watching it dubbed, and my brother came in to hear the most random dialogue ever.

    Something like:
    "Its the father..."
    "Whos father?"
    "...yours"

Hehe, they were referring to some random cat doll, it was baffling. I think something was lost in translation somewhere...
