Manga night

Post by Laughing Man on Fri Dec 05, 2008 8:21 pm

Last year we had a few manga nights, which was basically a social in the meeting room, with snacks and drawing stuff provided.

We would naturally have various things to do, probably like a manga tutorial and stuff, of course, that is all open to debate, so, please do:

I debate that this is a fantastic idea! I think if people signed up then they would be enthusiastic about such a plan. Hopefully more people off the email list will come along - though I won't hold my breath on it.

I've never done proper manga before but I'm not too shabby a drawer. It'll be fun Very Happy

Glad you think so!
We'll also have various competitions, might even have prizes and stuff.

I'm not a master, but I know a bit, chances are we'll have a library system too, borrowing and lending books is something I've been trying to start up all year.

I... might be interested.
I did go through a random phase where I'd draw some manga... but I prefer to do that alone, im definitely no artist...

I'll take you up on the sweets offer though Smile

Can I just ask whats going on with the wednesday meetings while im at it?
are there different mash ups? or you pooling votes together or something... because id certainly want to go to both if different shows are on... but I dont have the time for it so...

A library if manga would be absolutely brilliant.

We decided to pilot a few Wednesday meetings to see how many people will be able to make it, including those unfortunate souls that cannot attend Thursdays. Mash ups are different and in general are several seasons ahead of what is shown during our main general meeting, or fairly unusual, an alternative night overall. Odd OVAs, short films, and experimental works are more likely to be show here. Votes are cast in the same way, but are unique to the Wednesday meeting.

It would be nice if you could make both meetings, but is not a requirement.

Hmmm, is it a different room?
Ive changed my mind, I have absolutely nothing to do tonight, so i'll be in both tonight, and tomorrow, with the socialibob thing.

I'm ashamed I missed last weeks... stupid persona 3 game...
...I mean... I was busy. Cool
