Now if you haven't already guessed from my chosen username, one of my most favoritest(est) anime is Neon Genesis Evangelion.

The first anime that I watched properly was the old 12 episode series of Guyver (I somehow got hold of a box full of VHS tapes) and then of course DBZ, Gundam Wing and Tenchi Muyo on cartoon network (Toonami, wooo). Thats not including pokemon/monster rancher/digimon and stuff though, although I would like to express the first series of pokemon is awesome

Nowadays my tastes for anime have become a little more refined. I tend be more of the seinen demographic, and chances are, Im responsible for the single votes when the mash up polls come in (lol, Tetsujin28)

On a side note, put some Elfen Leid on at some point... That is, if you don't find the excessive violence/gore inappropriate. Also, as odd as it might sound, im a big fan of visual novels (Someone might beat me for saying that :/ )

P.S My Princess Mononoke DVD was brilliant.

My First Anime (though I didn't know it at the time) was Robotech, I had the first two episodes on a VHS my mum found at a carbootie, I used to watch it often wishing for nothing more but the next episode.
Of course, I moved onto the mainstream, as most do, like DBZ and Pokemon (which rocked at the start, but went downhill)
Elfen Leid was suggested twice, which means in all likely hood, it will turn up on a mash up list soon. (I guess it depends on how long it takes Louis to find the DVD )

The DVD was awesome. I'm ashamed to say id not seen it before, especially considering how popular it is. I have to say it was impressive.

If there are only 2 episodes on a tape you would have to buy alot of VHS tapes to finish Robotech, considering its 85 episodes long Thank god for the internet.

Personally im starting to go off long running anime shows. I got really bored of Naruto and SHINIGAMI DEATH! *glomps*. As good as they are at the beginning, they start to really drag.

I don't think im even going to bother continuing SHINIGAMI DEATH! *glomps*... sure, it will probably get better. But 198 episodes and still going seems a bit excessive to me. I gave up at episode 75 :/

I'm definately looking forward to Elfen Leid, the first 5 minutes are said to be among the most horrifying moments in anime as a whole. I wonder how people will react

I think it might have been me who originally mentioned Elfen Lied. My friend has it in Region 1 boxset so I nabbed that and loved it to bits. It may be my favourite anime ever.

But back to the point, welcome Ant. It's nice to have a new face on the forum, since for the past few days it's just been me and Admin Guy exchanging words.

Also, does SHINIGAMI DEATH! *glomps* actually require the capitals or the "*glomps*"? Since I've not actually seen it.

I just remembered that SHINIGAMI DEATH! *glomps* was part of the forum's censored words thing, I'll go change that now, I wondered why everyone was calling it that...
It was an injoke in the staff, and obviously, I forgot to correct it.

(For future reference, the word 'Bleach' was automatically censored, and replaced with 'SHINIGAMI DEATH! *Glomps*' and has since been corrected)

Ahhh. That makes so much more sense then. I have definitely heard of Bleach, yet not seen that either.

My suggestion this week was claymore... also slightly gory. I love these shows.

I didnt vote for speed grapher this week, im not impressed with it so far. Seems very similar to witchblade in a strange way, which unfortunately I didnt like... only speed grapher is worse. (Sorry if your a witchblade anime fan... or a fan of speed grapher for that matter).

Im now looking for something to out vote black lagoon

We did notice someone had put Claymore. Now we know who is responsible for it. But I say good shout, since I've seen clips and it looks pretty good.

Ah yeah, it is very good.Im not sure if the whole show is available on DVD yet though. I was watching it fansubbed while it as still being aired in japan.

That also means I havent seen the last 2 episodes

Edit: I was curious so I checked if claymore had been released on english DVD yet. It seems that the complete series has been released just recently.

Aww geez, my laptops gone all screwy on me...

After winning that quiz I was looking forward to surfing the net to pick my prize... only thing is, my laptop wont bloody boot up.
Now on on some long shot of a quest to get hold of a working pirated xp professional disc I can use solely to use the recovery console which may or may not work to repair a fsked up registry which is preventing me from doing absolutely anything with my laptop. Cant even boot in safe mode.

I hope I can at least get to the files. It doesnt look like a virus or anything... probably from hitting the power button too much.

If that dont work, I wonder if I can do a repair or something, I dunno... this very rarely happens to me

I have an OEM of XPSP2 if you can use it to at least boot the recovery console?

Im not sure... I did manage to boot the computer eventually, but its not working very well... I managed to get all my files to my external hard drive, but now I need to reinstall the os.

I was trying to get an iso of one, only to find this computer doesnt have a burner...

Do the computers in uni have CDR drives? If they do I can just transfer the data via usb and burn it from uni.
Ugh... that sounds like a bit of a long shot... but I should try it.

Oh yeah... im not sure it will even boot up again after I swtitch it off, so I havent :/

For some reason I managed to open it in debug mode (?) and then once it was open I got like 5 write errors, followed by a message saying that it had managed to repair a registry error. First thing I noticed before I switched it off in the first place was that IE and firefox wouldnt load, I dont mean pages wouldnt load, just the whole thing would freeze up... its still doing it.

Sooo, now im doing a defrag, its been going for like 3 hours and its on 20%

I cant put names to these accounts, so whoever Ed is on here... Your memory stick isnt big enough to hold Elfen lied, its about 2.5 gigs. Sorry, I shouldve thought about that way earlier.
